Our quilts are uniquely hand-made in Hardinsburg, Kentucky and the patterns in our collection have been selected from the archives of our historic Eleanor Beard Studio which date back to the 1920’s.
The marking of each quilt is done using hand-drawn patterns that are perforated and then brushed with a marking powder to leave a faint design on the quilting fabric. The quilt materials are layered onto a quilting frame, and the quilter begins her stitch work at the outside edge of the quilt, slowly working her way across the frame. All of the quilting and finishing is done completely by hand, with nothing more than needle and thread. In celebration of our 25th anniversary we showcase one of our most popular patterns over the years, the Cordelia pattern in beautiful shades of ivory and nude.
