Designer

Position Summary

The Leontine Linens Designer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing a book of business. The Designer capitalizes on organic interest through intake of new client inquiries. He/she strategizes how to market to new or untapped markets as well as maintains existing client relationships through excellent customer service and clientele skills. The Designer is sought after by his/her clients because he/she excels at product knowledge, is savvy with color and design elements, and is an exceptional listener and problem solver.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintains new and existing client relationships
  • Achieves personal and team sales goals
  • Drives business through new market development; Plans and executes market trips using Leontine’s directives
  • Draws upon excellent product knowledge and design skills to maximize sales opportunities
  • Presents the product and sales tools to the client using Leontine’s established best practices in all settings, including but not limited to studio appointments, in-home appointments, market visits, and pop-up events
  • Communicates the Leontine Linens brand and lifestyle to his/her market
  • Leverages technology to enhance the client experience
  • Adheres to the established best practices in all client communications through the life cycle of a client order
  • Maintains marketing and clientele tools, including CRM platform according to company standards
  • Other duties as required

Standards of Performance

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills and proficiency in business vocabulary to effectively represent the clients and the company to outside parties
  • Models and exhibits a positive and flexible attitude in interactions with all employees, vendors, guests, office partners and clients
  • Interpersonal relationships which encourage openness, candor and trust, both internally and outside of the office
    Accurate and timely completion of orders
  • Maintenance of client and company information in a confidential manner

Qualifications/Requirements

The minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3-5 Years Sales Experience (Luxury Market experience a plus)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills

  • Regularly required to use close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus

Equipment & Tools

Telephone, computer and other general office equipment such as copier, fax and shredder as needed.
