Who We Are

Leontine Linens creates bespoke linens for bed, bath, and table that are made by hand in the United States. Our seamstresses sew custom linens that are thoughtfully crafted for each discerning client, using the same time-honored traditional techniques that have remained unchanged for over a century.

From cutting the fabric to hand-sewing the embellishments, each step of the process is carried out by our skilled artisans who create a product that is a unique reflection of you.

"The most important thing to me... is using the same techniques and sewing skills that have been passed down through generations."

Our Origins

Jane Scott Hodges founded Leontine Linens in 1996 after visiting the historic and inspiring Eleanor Beard Studio in Kentucky. Driven by a desire to create heirloom-quality luxury linens for everyday use, Jane Scott grew the business locally and began traveling nationwide to meet with clients in their homes. To this day, personal collaboration remains an integral part of the Leontine experience.

ELEANOR BEARD

Founded by its namesake, the Eleanor Beard Studio began in 1921 and, over the course of a century, became renowned as the premier creator of American-made couture linens. While searching for her own trousseau as a bride-to-be, Jane Scott Hodges discovered the treasured studio and recognized a group of women with unrivaled skill. In 2002, she purchased the historic workroom, ensuring its legacy would endure.

Since taking on the role of steward to this historic American company, Jane Scott has remained authentic to the hand-guided processes that the studio has used for more than a century. As the sister company to Leontine Linens, the Eleanor Beard Studio is a cherished part of the Leontine story.
