Embroidery vs Applique

What is the difference between embroidery and applique?

Embroidery involves stitching designs directly onto fabric using thread to create intricate patterns, monograms, or motifs, adding depth and texture through color and detail. Appliqué, on the other hand, is the process of sewing one piece of fabric onto another, creating bold, graphic designs with layered textures.
