Gathered vs Tailored Bed Skirt

What is the difference between a gathered and tailored bed skirt?

A tailored bed skirt is a simple bed skirt wherein a single box pleat is centered on either side and the foot, for a simple, clean look.  A gathered bed skirt, on the other hand, uses double the amount of fabric to create a voluminous drape of soft folds along the perimiter of the sides and foot.  Regardless of whether you choose a gathered or tailored style, Leontine's bed skirts feature full lining, split corners with gusset to accommodate footboards, and a picture-frame of the fabric along the platform to ensure the lining material is well-hidden.
