Linens Storage
How should I store my linens?
Linens should be stored clean and thoroughly dried in a cool, dry space protected from sunlight. If storing in containers, breathable options like cotton bags or acid-free tissue are recommended. Avoid plastic containers or bags, which can trap humidity. Starch should be avoided for long-term storage since it can cause yellowing, but for linens cleaned and rotated regularly, starching and pressing before storage is not problematic. Keeping an organized linen closet helps ensure linens are used regularly and maintain their freshness - for that reason we recommend storing on linen boards with the decorative hem of the pillowcase used to wrap and identify the set.
