Building Your Bed Linen Collection

Tips for a Well-Rounded Linen Closet

"When you have multiple sets of sheets, you can rotate them and make them last a long time."

-Jane Scott Hodges

Jane Scott has spent years building a swoon-worthy collection of bed linens. Many are from Leontine, of course, but she also incorporates patterns and textures from elsewhere, like lovely floral pieces from D. Porthault. She stands by this tip: having a variety of bedding, even just a few different sets to choose from, helps keep the wear and tear manageable and the looks fresh.

Jane Scott believes that bed linens don't have to always match your room. They can instead be whatever color you would like to see that week! Having a collection full of unique linens is an excellent way to keep your room feeling fresh and exciting.

Mixing different patterns is the fun! Just like with table setting, you can think about dressing the bed as you would dress yourself. Throw that fun clutch in with the outfit! Toss that lovely patterned boudoir pillow in with your bedding look!

"The other fun thing you might notice about my linens is that they are all different colors."

As a final tip, Jane Scott likes to advise that if pressing all your linens is too much of a chore, pressing just the pillowcases with add a crisp finish to your look with less time required.
