Every anniversary needs a memento to honor its unique story. After thirty years of designing monogrammed heirloom linens for the modern home, Jane Scott fondly remembers the 1999 House & Garden feature that marked Leontine’s first print appearance.
The story featured a white linen guest towel adorned with the Etienne monogram, Leontine’s first design, which would become our lasting signature. House & Garden praised the linens’ combination of tradition and personal style.

Behind the feature was a story of persistence that helped establish Leontine in modern homes.
Before the internet and social media gave brands platforms of their own, many had a limited audience with which to share their stories. Magazine features offered (and still offer) invaluable visibility and credibility, especially to recently founded brands like Leontine. It was Jane Scott’s trip to New York, linens in tow, and personal meeting with House & Garden’s chief editor that earned the Etienne’s feature. That determination helped introduce Leontine's vision of elegant heirlooms to a wider audience and has defined the company since its beginnings.

Over the past three decades, we’ve brought custom linens to life with that same devotion. Each stitch and style is chosen by you and created at our historic Eleanor Beard Studio in Hardinsburg, Kentucky using hand-guided techniques and sewing skills passed down through generations. It’s this enduring artistry that continues to set Leontine apart.
