"This is the opening bed look that I put back on because I love it so much!"
-Jane Scott Hodges
When our flagship New Orleans re-opened in 2022 after undergoing a renovation, Jane Scott designed this set of bed linens to pair with the showroom's new interior. Soft lavender, delicate green and luxurious golds pull from elements of the wall's lavender ticking, the antique bed frame, and the leafy courtyard beyond the windows. Above, a sign that once hung on our exterior gate is framed by a trompe l'oeil mural.

THE Bed Setup
Nestled within its nook, this Queen bed features an antique headboard which pairs beautifully with the gold thread used in the embroidery elements. In the back, two super-euros (four inches larger than normal euros) in Beach linen provide the base. A body pillow in Desert Green poplin and two standard shams in white pique finish the set. Atop the white pique blanket cover sits one of our luxurious Fantasy satin quilts.

THE elements
Jane Scott chose a soft, botanical theme for the embroidery and applique elements of this bed set. The Etienne monogram, a classic Leontine Linens look, features on the super-euros, body pillow, and blanket cover. Its soft green seeding echoes the Desert green of the body pillow.
On the super-euro shams, the Floral Tulip embroidered border is treated in a style we call "swagged", which means it frames the Etienne monograms and adorns only the upper corners.
Finally, the blanket cover features our appliqued Nancy border in Desert Green poplin to match the body pillow, and is corded (which means sewn down with thread in a different color) in the same gold as the monograms. The body pillow features the Grace Cuff.
"The bed is the focal point of the room, and it's yours, so you can put whatever color on there brings you joy."

THE QUILT
In Jane Scott's words, the sumptuous satin Fantasy quilt adds a "splash of lavender to the foot which coordinates back to the tulips and the lavender ticking". All of our quilts are hand-sewn at our studio, Eleanor Beard, in Hardinsburg, KY. They add an unparalleled layer of richness and warmth to any boudoir.
