Felt Liners

in White Felt with Merrow Finish

Jane Scott Hodges, Leontine Linens founder and hostess extraordinaire, loves our felt liners for three reasons:

  1. They add opacity to light colored linens against a dark table
  2. They protect your table against spills
  3. They absorb sounds, preventing noise from glassware, china and flatware against the table

Take your table settings from good to great by adding this subtle but impactful layer.

Product Size

As a general rule, the liner for a place mat or runner is 1.5” smaller and the liner for a table cloth is 10-14” smaller in each direction. To fit our common placemat sizes, the dimensions would be:

For a 15"x15" Square Mat:
13.5"x13.5" Liner

For a 14"x20" Rectangular Mat:
12.5"x18.5" Liner

We recommend ordering your liners at the same time as your linens to ensure a perfect fit.

Materials & Care

Leontine uses a soft, synthetic white felt that is washer and dryer safe when following our laundry care guide below. The liners are made to order at our studio—the felt is cut and finished with a merrow stitch edge.

Most Leontine Linens products are entirely machine washable and dryer safe. All pieces are meant to be used and cared for at home. We have a zero dry clean policy for the linens we make! See our full care guide.

All items are crafted entirely by hand to order. They are sewn and produced in the United States and ship from our studio in Kentucky.
