Monogram Monday:  Alcott

June 09, 2014

Alcott Monogram

Often imitated, never duplicated...the Alcott monogram is one of Leontine's most popular applique styles. Applique is bold and modern, yet often more unique than embroidery and harder to duplicate with digital equipment. Leontine's applique styles are still drawn, stitched, and finished by hand, making them an American treasure.

Custom Ringstitch Monogram

Sometimes our favorite style is something so new we haven't even named it! Jane Scott stumbled upon a photo of a vintage Far East-inspired monogram style, and decided to recreate it in her own initials. The letters jump off the fabric in the beautifully textured ringstitch.

One of Leontine's most popular signature styles, Addison is sublime in a master bedroom by Elizabeth Elsey. We love this monogram style for it's intricate hand-seeded embroidery details, and it's universal appeal no matter the letter combination. Photograph by Mali Azima.

Mignontable6Hi

There is nothing more gorgeous than a classic monogram in an old-world stitch style such as ringstitch. The artistry of the embroidery is unmatched, especially in a deep jewel tone on a natural linen dinner napkin. The Mignon monogram style is the perfect combination of classic and elegant, and provides the most beautiful of table settings.

Sometimes the best part of a monogram style is the way it looks with your initials. Pair that with a unique combination of fabrics and colors and - voila - you've created something utterly and perfectly YOU.

Monogram Monday:  A Cherished Heirloom

Page022Afanatic

There is nothing more pleasant than finding a vintage monogram tucked in a trove of antique linens. Jane Scott was lucky enough to inherit her great-great grandmother's trousseau as well as her monogram initials. These very pieces were the initial spark behind Leontine Linens. The…

Page017Introduction

It's almost here! We are just about a week away from the release of LINENS by Jane Scott Hodges. Today's Monogram Monday is the Malcolm style - a handsome block letter with a chinoiserie-inspired bamboo frame. Shown in gold thread on cognac linen, it makes for the warmest of invitations to sit and dine with friends. Photo by Joseph Rey Au.

000Jacket Back

The Sadie monogram is one of Jane Scott's favorites and is the perfect complement to an impromptu courtyard brunch with an Hermes scarf turned into a beautiful table cloth. People love the Sadie because of the unique way the initials nestle into the surname initial, for a design that is…
