“A new home is a clean slate – a chance for new memories,” says interior designer Cathy Kincaid. In keeping of the character of the house, however, Kincaid continues to learn from the past in decorating the guest bedroom into a Princess-and-the-Pea look.

The room was dark, like a jewel box, so Kincaid opened the space with character and sunlight, becoming “wintertime orangery” with palm-tree pattern upholstery. The hand-printed wallpaper and fabric complement the embroidered “Besos,” meaning “kisses,” on the bed dressed in our linens leaving a personal touch behind for every guest who stays.
