A mark of identification has turned into a symbol of living well and a ehicle for expressing creativity on everything from bed linens to tote bags.

Jane Scott offers a tip in this month’s Southern Accents for a gracious monogram: “Make the investment. A set of monogrammed linen napkins will be on your table for generations,” says Jane Scott Hodges, founder of Leontine Linens. Her advice: Buy a set gradually for various special occasions. “Ivory hemstitched dinner napkins with a gold monogram are the little black dress of tabletop.”
